DONTNOD ENTERTAINMENT – JUSANT BRANDING AND KEY ART

THE PROJECT
Developed and published by DON’T NOD, Jusant has a unique ‘meditative’ play style, where players can explore and solve the game’s mysteries at their own pace. The climbing action-puzzler was released in October 2023.

THE CHALLENGE
We worked alongside DON’T NOD to develop the initial global branding for Jusant, including promotional key art to help promote the game at video game events and shows.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION

Jusant’s overall vibe is calm and relaxing, but not without its challenges. While the player can indeed approach the game at their own pace, the overall goal of Jusant is to uncover the secrets of an ancient civilisation, hidden within a tall tower. Our design team worked to convey the game’s easy-going pace and narrative in our key art.

Central to the images were the game’s tower, impending and looming in the background, ready for the main character to climb.

He stays reflective at the base, pondering his challenge in the foreground and how to approach it, complemented by a brushwork-style ‘JUSANT’ logo designed to highlight the shape of the tower.

Our Jusant key art and logo debuted at Summer Game Fest 2023, with TAKEOFF providing initial illustrative artwork all the way to 3D renders and post-production.
