THE PROJECT
Action RPG Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was one of the first truly next-gen console releases in 2020. The twelfth major instalment in the Assassin’s Creed series, Valhalla was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.
THE CHALLENGE
Ubisoft commissioned us to create two different kits for influencers, to prime them for Eivor’s journey to conquer England, and to thank streamers who were playing the game with a unique ‘Viking’ experience.

Our target streamers and influencers couldn’t really take up the mantle of a Viking unless they lived like a Viking… Centring the influencer kits around the #LIKEAVIKING hashtag, our team imagined a story-led unboxing experience, with goodies and collectibles included that would fully immerse them in the Viking way of life.
Influencers received a black, wooden crate (with #LIKEAVIKING on the side) that they could smash open with our enclosed, special Assassin’s Creed Valhalla-branded Viking axe.
Bounty inside the crate included AC-branded tools including a fighting horn, beard oil and hair lotion, rune-style tattoos, Ubisoft Heroes figures of Eivor, vinyl soundtrack, axe display and exclusive artwork.
Streamers including Stacey Jenkins and JorRaptor shared their own Viking stories online; you can see the influencer kit below, alongside a video showing how our creative team forged the axes in fire.
