THE PROJECT
The Cooler Master Summer Summit 2021 was a virtual showcase for the heritage PC brand to showcase their new products. The Cooler Master Summer Summit 2021 was the brand’s creative response to the challenges the pandemic posed to the events sector.
THE CHALLENGE
Hosted on web-conferencing software Gather, Cooler Master asked us to create a fun custom environment where they could showcase their new products, and interact with their audience in exciting new ways.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION
Cooler Master wanted to do a boundary-breaking virtual event that was more experiential than standard Zoom events. Gather was the perfect place to do it; the software allows brands to build their own virtual worlds – similar in style to an 8-bit RPG – to create separate meeting rooms, private chat areas, video presentation spaces, brainstorming meetings and more.
Cooler Master asked us to help them create and flesh out their virtual space on Gather, and to make it something really special for the inaugural Cooler Master Summer Summit.
Our design team created a Cooler Master-branded virtual world with over 10 islands for visitors to explore – including a special ‘Cooler Master Stage’ island complete with disco lights and LED-style dancefloor.
Our artists created an enormous range of custom-made sprites to flesh out the islands and make each one a unique setting, where people could interact with product presentations and other attendees. Sprites included a Cooler Master truck, keyboards, mouses, PC cases, gaming chairs, desks, monitors and many other exclusive gaming peripherals.
