THE PROJECT
Developed by Sumo Sheffield and published by Secret Mode, NUTMEG! is a retro-inspired deckbuilding football manager where strategy and style collide as you lead your team to victory.
THE CHALLENGE
For the game’s release, the goal was to create standout key art that channelled the bold energy of 80s and 90s football culture, while putting the game’s card-based mechanics and playful, nostalgic tone front and center.

We crafted a vibrant, high-impact composition that brings the cards into focus, placing them at the heart of the action.
Surrounding them is a rich layer of stadium nostalgia: inflatable mascots, scarves, and the unmistakable chaos of matchday atmosphere. Every element, from the illustration style to the colour palette, was carefully tuned to reflect the game’s retro charm and lighthearted spirit.
The result is bold, expressive key art that feels alive with energy, designed to stand out instantly, both on and off the pitch.
