XBOX DACH – Cyberpunk 2077 Custom Console Charity Auction
THE PROJECT
Cyberpunk 2077 is the hotly-anticipated futuristic first-person role-playing game, set in a dystopian technologically-advanced California, from acclaimed Polish development team CD Projekt Red.
THE CHALLENGE
We were approached by publishers CD Projekt and Germany’s Xbox DACH to create a customised Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X console, which would be auctioned to raise money for the charity Friendly Fire 5.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION
The Voodoo Boys are different from the other gangs in Cyberpunk 2077; creator Mike Pondsmith likened them to a ‘cultural phenomenon’ rather than a gang. They were our focus – our custom Cyberpunk Xbox and controller featured prominent Voodoo Boys branding including insignias, skulls and cyberware design cues. Also featured on the console was a menacing-looking faux animal skull design.
The console was unveiled live on the official Friendly Fire charity stream, where it sat prominently as a centrepiece on the table during the event, giving Xbox valuable screen time to 86,000 average concurrent live viewers. The 12-hour stream received 2 million views and huge social media coverage from amazed gaming influencers, such as @Gronkh.
Our custom Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X also generated over 20 media clippings for a delighted Xbox DACH and CD Projekt and, most importantly, raised €13,400 for Friendly Fire 5.
