Planet Coaster – Ghostbusters ‘Slimer’ Custom PC
THE PROJECT
Planet Coaster is a theme park construction and management simulation game. The game was developed and published by Frontier Developments.
THE CHALLENGE
Planet Coaster released a downloadable campaign in 2019 themed around (and featuring characters from) the Ghostbusters universe. We were asked to create a custom PC cover to complement a PC giveaway to raise awareness of the game.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION
We ain’t afraid of no ghosts! Despite Ghostbusters going through different screen adaptions over the years, one character will always go hand-in-ectoplasm-covered-hand with the series; Slimer. Our custom PC cover had a design similar to his outing in The Real Ghostbusters animation, with Slimer solving his hunger pains by devouring a rollercoaster.
Our Slimer cover was designed to easily affix onto the custom PC, and could also be easily removed should the need arise. The Slimer design was key to the competition’s marketing assets, and was featured in mainstream PC press titles including PC Gamer, read by Frontier’s key demographics.
