THE PROJECT
Diablo is one of gaming’s most-successful IPs. The legendary series has amassed a sizeable cult following over the decades; the brand is currently under the stewardship of Activision Blizzard, Inc.
THE CHALLENGE
In the run-up to Christmas 2022, Activision asked us to create a gift pack that could be sent to members of Diablo’s loyal community as a festive ‘thank-you’ from the team, for being fans of the franchise for so long.

Team TAKEOFF had fun with this project, designing and producing a wicked Christmas present for Diablo fans that would bring out their devilish side over yuletide. Fans hosting friends over Noël could slip Diablo-themed ice cubes into their drinks thanks to our specially-created Diablo ice stamp, which was housed inside a carefully-crafted Diablo-engraved box.
That was complemented by our naughty-but-nice ‘Smoke of the Soulstone’ wintry cocktail recipe, including steps for a non-alcoholic version. Activision-provided Diablo tarot cards were part of the present, too (for those literally looking to raise hell); Diablo-branded gift-wrapping paper, cards and stickers were also enclosed, with recipients writing the Diablo team lots of lovely ‘thank-you’ letters on Boxing Day.
