THE GAME
Diablo IV is the fourth entry in the best-selling action-RPG Diablo series. Launching in June 2023, players battle through a corrupted Sanctuary to defeat Lilith and bring peace back to the land. Diablo IV was developed by Blizzard Entertainment and published by Activision Blizzard.
THE CHALLENGE
To build global awareness for the return of the Queen of the Succubi, Activision Blizzard partnered with Microsoft’s international territories and asked us to create custom consoles and controllers that could be won as competition prizes. We also created CG social media videos to promote the campaign.

Team TAKEOFF handled all aspects of this project from initial brief all the way to delivery, creating a custom competition campaign that set social media on fire. Our artists created Xbox Series X designs with the frightening figure of Lilith staring down players from the console’s face, finished by fine red border detailing.
The console’s (and Lilith’s) real power though is drawn from the display around it. Our Series X consoles were housed on a large lit stand, with the console jutting from the glowing rocks surrounding it like a hellish volcanic boulder.
The dead look out from the rising Infernal Gate towering behind the console – all complemented by a hellish red Diablo-themed controller.
Once built, our stand featured at the Diablo IV launch events ‘Goremet’ at London’s Lilith & Co. and at France’s L’Atelier des Lumières in June. Our digital marketing team took stunning image assets of the console and created a fiery CG social media video to advertise the competition online across all territories.
