THE PROJECT
Published by Bandai Namco entertainment and developed by CyberConnect2, Dragon ball Z: Kakarot is the latest imagining of the Dragon Ball Z universe, with players able to fight through the series’ best arcs as Goku and friends.
THE CHALLENGE
Bandai Namco needed a team to work on the packaging for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (the game and the limited edition) as well as work with its in-house manufacturing specialists, Banpresto, to create and translate packaging and ads for global markets.
ServicesGraphic Design, Print Design
Working closely with Banpresto and Bandai Namco who provided the visuals, our creative team worked on every asset for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, including the back of the packaging layout, print and animated ads.
Goku, riding his iconic Kintoun, was front and centre of all the game’s packaging – we also translated packaging text for different languages across the EMEA region, ready for launch. Our translation team was able to accurately replicate packaging into various new languages without losing the fun and energetic tone of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
We also created static and animated shots for both the game and limited edition packaging as part of the game’s EMEA social media campaign.
The social media team could then use the assets to help generate pre-orders and post-launch sales. Again, they were translated perfectly into different EMEA languages to keep the campaign fun and full of energy.
