Shionogi – 2019 Exhibitions and Activations

THE PROJECT
Japanese pharmaceutical firm Shionogi was exhibiting across different pharmaceutical trade shows across Europe during 2019.

THE CHALLENGE
Shionogi needed bespoke stands and booths that used strong visuals and content to immediately convey the quality of their brand and attract footfall. Stands also needed custom functionality (including charging points and storage space) so ambassadors could concentrate fully on engaging with delegates.

CIRSE 2019 – BARCELONA

The world’s IR community met up at CIRSE 19 between 6-11 September 2019 at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona, to network and discuss the latest advances in IR patient care.

Our interactive exercise bike game complete with ‘Exercise charging station’ made another appearance at CIRSE 19 after its success at EHA 19, and wowed the crowds. The charging station was created with strong greens and oranges to help it stand out; the CIRSE 19 booth was complemented with highly-visual custom ‘SHIONOGI’ light; screens to better inform visitors; content such as brochures and wall charts, and an area for representatives to engage with prospects.

EASL 2019 – VIENNA

EASL is home to the International Liver Conference (ILC), with Shionogi exhibiting their brand and products between 10-14 April 2019 at the Reed Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center in Vienna, Austria.

This was the first appearance of our gamified exercise bike. With the bike as a controller, it was built to engage with footfall and potential prospects in a fun way. Visitors needed to pedal to get to a certain stage on screen in a limited time; the activation was a unique way for Shionogi’s team to engage with prospects and make full use of the space available to them.

Introduced to the ILC exhibit were freestanding shelves to house brochures, leaflets and other physical content, complemented by screens featuring information about Shionogi, the brand and its products. 

Surround seating as part of the stand was a great place for delegates and prospects to sit and talk without barriers, and doubled up as storage space, too. Tables were also included that featured charging stations for visitors mobile devices. The large custom Shionogi light set the company apart visually from other exhibitors on the floor.

EHA 2019 – AMSTERDAM

Taking place over 13-16 June 2019, the 24th European Hematology Association Congress was held at RAI Amsterdam, with delegates across the world of haematology coming together to network and showcase their healthcare services.

To differentiate Shionogi from the competition and attract footfall in fun, unique ways, our gamified exercise bike also made an appearance at Amsterdam, and was a great way for Shionogi to make use of the limited space available to them. The bike was complemented by our specially-built tables and stands, giving representatives peace of mind to allow them to focus fully on engaging and attracting delegates.
