Shionogi – Interactive Gamified Exhibition

THE PROJECT
Japanese pharmaceutical firm Shionogi is dedicated to developing medicines to help patients worldwide, and was showcasing its new drug, Mulpleo, at CIRSE 19 in Barcelona.

THE CHALLENGE
Shionogi wanted to attract footfall to their display in unique, creative ways and commissioned an animated presentation that also doubled as an interactive game for their booth.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION

Our artists and animators created an easy-to-understand and fun presentation for crowds at CIRSE 19, which was also connected to an exercise bike, synced to two screens (one landscape, one portrait).

The bike acted as a game controller; during the presentation, visitors to the stall could pedal the bike with the aim of making a certain number of animated platelets appear and rise to the top of the screen in front of them. Players would win if they could reach a specific platelet threshold within 50 seconds.

The aim was to present something fun to attract prospects to the booth and interact with them, whilst also remaining true to Shionogi’s brand and values. The game was easy and quick enough for anybody to play and enjoy; the experience was also taken beyond CIRSE 19, and was used by Shionogi at EASL 2019 in Vienna and EHA 2019 in Amsterdam.

EXPERIENTIAL IS THE BEST WAY TO ATTRACT FOOTFALL AND ENGAGE WITH NEW PROSPECTS AT LIVE EVENTS. TAKE A LOOK AT OUR OTHER ACTIVATIONS.
