To celebrate the upcoming release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, we partnered with Activision on the Grind to 100 campaign, creating a high-impact sweepstake featuring a truly unique skate collectible.
THE CHALLENGE
To design a precious prize that would capture attention, feel authentic to skate culture, and stand out as a once-in-a-lifetime reward. The item needed to balance craftsmanship, credibility, and spectacle, while remaining true to the spirit of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.

Takeoff produced a set of fully functional 24-carat gold skateboard trucks, valued at £100,000. Cast in copper and finished with 1-micron 24-carat gold plating, the trucks were forged by the legendary Fonderie d’Art Macheret in France and housed in a custom leather display box to complement this unique piece of art.
Designed to be skated, not just displayed, the trucks were endorsed by Tony Hawk himself and served as the centrepiece of a bold sweepstake campaign celebrating the return of an iconic franchise.
