ONE MORE GATE: A WAKFU LEGEND – EARLY ACCESS LAUNCH TRAILER
THE PROJECT
One More Gate: A Wakfu Legend is an indie game that features an eclectic mix of genres. The French rogue-like was developed by Ankama Studio and published by Ankama Games.
THE CHALLENGE
With One More Gate slated for an April 2023 release, Ankama Games asked us to create an Early Access trailer, to raise awareness of their new IP, invite gaming communities to play the current version and provide critical feedback.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION
French indie powerhouse Ankama Studio is an extremely creative team that insists on building close relationships with their fans before, during, and after an IP’s development. We explicitly understood that fan-first approach, and were the first external studio to create a trailer for one of their games.
Working with assets and footage provided to us by Ankama Studio, we created a trailer featuring one of the game’s playable characters exploring its gorgeous uniquely-generated worlds, engaging in card-based battles with some of the game’s beautifully-designed enemies, progression trees, deck-building features, and other exciting game mechanics.
The trailer was overlaid with exciting, adventurous music and SFX. Interwoven with gameplay footage were our specially-designed text slides, providing more information about the game, its mechanics and wider narrative.
Most important of these was the end slate inviting players to One More Gate’s Early Access release on 11 October 2022, and also raising awareness of the game’s Discord server, that they could access the game on Steam and through Ankama’s own on-site game launcher.
