PLACES+FACES – CUSTOM XBOX CONTROLLERS

Xbox and London-based creative collective PLACES+FACES teamed up to release a cloud gaming-inspired collection of apparel and accessories.
THE CHALLENGE
Xbox approached us and asked for our help as part of the collaboration, to create a set of custom-themed PLACES+FACES Xbox controllers.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION
The photo shoots and commercial for the collaboration featured not only the brands’ stunning, sleek custom Xbox accessories, but also PLACES+FACES-branded Xbox controllers.
Our design team created controllers with new PLACES+FACES skins that looked as good as the brand’s signature streetwear, featuring orange and red hues calling back to the 35mm film that helped launch the brand, complemented by a white D-PAD and PLACES+FACES logo (with the + replaced by the controller’s Xbox power button).
