THE PROJECT
Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection is a special video game compilation developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Konami to celebrate 25 years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Bringing together some of the earliest Yu-Gi-Oh! video games, this collection offers fans a nostalgic return to the origins of digital Dueling.
THE CHALLENGE
To mark the release, Konami sought to create a physical media kit for press and influencers—one that would authentically capture the spirit of Yu-Gi-Oh! The goal was to bring the iconic gold sarcophagus to life, drawing from the franchise’s deep Egyptian lore. The kit also needed to evoke a retro, melancholic charm, resonating particularly with millennial fans who grew up with the game.

We designed a premium gold box inspired by the legendary sarcophagus, housing a carefully curated selection of collectibles. Inside, recipients discovered a papyrus-style message from the studio, a pixel-art pin collection, a ‘90s-inspired oversized printed tee, a custom-shaped coaster, and, of course, the game itself.
A limited number of these exclusive kits were shipped worldwide ahead of launch, creating a buzz among longtime Duelists.
