XBOX SERIES S TV COMMERCIAL – LOCALISATION

THE PROJECT
The Xbox Series S is the latest next-generation console from Microsoft, and is the smaller counterpart to the larger Xbox Series X.

THE CHALLENGE
As part of its advertising campaign for the Xbox Series S, Xbox ran TV commercials across North American territories. We were asked to translate a commercial for French-speaking markets.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION

There’s a lot more that goes into a localisation project than just translating text. TAKEOFF worked to turn the energetic ‘US’ ad into an equally vibrant ‘French’ commercial. 

Our team created new French transition cards for the commercial, to convey key information to French speakers about the benefits of the next-gen Xbox Series S. New end cards were also produced as a call to action, to let people in French-speaking territories know where they could purchase the console.

Our legal team also worked closely with Xbox to make sure that all legal constraints were adhered to for each localisation. We took care of validation, liaising with France’s ARPP agency to submit the video and communicate with jurists, updating Xbox and making necessary amends with their approval. Our team also took charge of TV channel deliveries.
