Overwatch – Recruits Kit

THE PROJECT
Online multiplayer first-person shooter phenomenon Overwatch was launched in 2016. It was developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment.

THE CHALLENGE
Games like Overwatch very rarely become a success overnight. Potential players and fans must be recruited; something we wanted to encourage through pre-orders with our exclusive recruit kit.

TAKEOFF'S SOLUTION

Our promotional Overwatch recruit kit was designed in the game’s iconic orange and white theme, complete with logo on the front of the box. Sent out to press and online influencers, the recruit kit, when opened, contained a glossy ‘Recruit Instruction Manual’ featuring highly-detailed imagery and content about the game and the universe’s lore.

Potential recruits were also treated to sets of VIP stickers that couldn’t be found anywhere else, as well as an Overwatch medal in the style of the logo. A mounted coin was also included, as was a ‘Vinyl Lucio’ of Overwatch’s soundtrack.
